The First Life
In 1901, the Kafie family left the mountains of Lebanon and crossed an ocean in search of a new beginning. They found it in Honduras — in its people, its valleys, and its tobacco. The land gave the family a home; the leaf gave it a calling. That year is stitched into everything we do, and into our name: Kafie 1901.
The Second Life
A century later, Dr. Gaby Kafie had already built one successful life caring for patients. But the family story would not let him go. He walked away from a comfortable career to give the Kafie name a second life in premium tobacco — apprenticing himself to the craft, blending in small batches, and earning his place in the industry one cigar at a time.
The House of Houses
Boutique Smoke is the home we built for that legacy — and for the makers we admire. Alongside Kafie 1901 you will find La Aurora, the Dominican Republic's oldest factory; Luis Falto's hand-rolled Puerto Rican blends; Garo, Tatiana, The Mansa, and more. Every house here earned its shelf in our humidor.
The Ritual
We believe a great cigar deserves a great cup beside it. The cigar-and-coffee pairing is the house ritual — single-origin coffees matched to blends the way our family has always taken them: slowly, together, without hurry.
